Name: Kimmie
Age: 22
Location: Norway
First exposure to Tanz: an American friend showed me a video of Carpe Noctem from the Hamburg proshot overlaid with the English demo, Carpe Noctem - I was writing about musicals for school and she knew I liked vampires.
Favourite cast recording: I love bits and pieces of each one, actually.
Favourite Krolock: Jan Ammann/Jyri Lahtinen.
Favourite major character: Alfred.
Favourite minor character: Magda.
Other favourites among cast: Dorfstrottel/Nightmare Solisten.
Favourite song: Rote Stiefel/Das Gebet, Vor dem Schloss, Ewigkeit, Finale.
Favourite costume: Ooh, don’t get me started. The blue vampire in the 1850’s gown and a regency dress from Sue Blane’s original costumes, a red Tudor gown from Kentaur’s designs & all the Finnish vampire gowns, including Sarah’s (and excluding the Professor’s).
Favourite Tanzblr meme: All your shenanigans amuse me.
Best memory: We travelled out to Palladium Theater early, to make sure we knew what tramlines to take later in the day. My friend was new to Tanz, and I showed him the backstage entrance - there was an open window and we heard an Alfred (Krisha Dalke, probably) rehearse. He sang the last two verses of Für Sarah and the day, sun and everything was so lovely, you can’t imagine.
Same trip, we were stagedooring at a matinee. Jan Ammann showed up in full makeup, wig in long thick braids, and said he looked like Pocahontas with that hair. (Good luck erasing those mental pictures.)
Which shows did you see and how often: Stuttgart x5, Seinäjoki x2
Secret wish: Not much of a secret, but I’d kill for a good Norwegian version. Even have a dreamcast picked out.
Best actual dream: Becoming a costume seamstress and work for Tanz end up pricking my favourite actors with pins.

Name: Annina
Age: 21
Location: Helsinki, Finland
First exposure to Tanz: It was in 2006, when I first found this fanmade video of Gott ist tot. The video didn’t include the name of the musical so it took me a year to find out that the song was from a musical called Tanz der Vampire (no, at that time there really wasn’t any information about it online). I fell in love with Tanz the moment I heard GiT, so you can only imagine how agonizing it was to try and figure out where it was from. I saw Tanz live for the first time in 2008 in Berlin.
Favourite cast recording: The Viennese Revival Production Gesamtaufnahme (with Marc Liebisch). Still waiting for an official recording with Drew Sarich.
Favourite Krolock: Drew Sarich
Favourite major character: Graf von Krolock
Favourite minor character: The Black Vampire (preferably played by Csaba Nagy).
Other favourites among cast:
- Herbert (naturally, preferably played by Marc Liebisch, Pirgel Dávid or Robert D. Marx)
- The Aristocrat Vampire with the long coat and long curly hair, pirate-hat with a feather and a fan (preferably played by Feicht Zoltán or Fernand Delosch)
- The King Vampire (preferably played by Alex di Capri or Kai Hüsgen)
- The Soldier/Rudolf Vampire (preferably played by Ernő Zsolt Kiss or Florian Theiler)
Favourite song: It’s either Finale Zweiter Akt, Carpe Noctem, Die Unstillbare Gier or Stärker als wir sind (including das Gebet). If I absolutely had to choose, I’d take Finale.
Favourite costume: Once again a tough choice between Herbert’s Ball costume and the aristocrat’s costume from the ensemble.
Favourite Tanzblr meme: Drewlock and the case of the candy wrappers!
Best memory: Read Ewig’s post. Especially the following: every moment with her on our trips, the second to last show in Vienna, Csaba and the photos, “My Krolock will miss you both very much.”
Which shows did you see and how often: Berlin (2008) x1, The Viennese Revival Production x24, Budapest x8, Berlin (revival) x3, Seinäjoki x5.
Secret wish: Getting to know the actors and dancers a bit better. Having a way to contact them and ask them how they are doing and to which productions are they heading (especially with the lesser-known cast members).
Best actual dream: To perform Ewigkeit or Finale at Ropecon.
Other stuff you wanna say: Tanzblr, I love you all.

Favourite cast recording: Neue Wiener Fassung
Favourite Krolock: Gábor Bot, Géza Egyházi, Thomas Borchert
Favourite major character: Krolock
Favourite minor character: Chagal. He’s such a lovable bastard.
Other favourites among cast: Zsanett Andrádi, Gyuri Mihálka and Dávid Pirgel from the Hungarian cast, Marjan Shaki, Sebastian Smulders, Marc Liebisch and Alex di Capri from Vienna Revival and Csaba Nagy from wherever he gets to play Black :)
Favourite song: Um, all of them? Depends on the mood or day of the week and stuff. Currently - probably Carpe Noctem.
Favourite costume: Every single costume from the Hungarian production (with the exception of those horrible masks worn by the vampires in Vor dem Schloss) and some outfits from the Polish Ewigkeit.
Favourite Tanzblr meme: Herpert and Derplock if I had to choose, but in all honesty they’re all great.
Best memory: Lots of them, but the best ones would have to be having an uncontrollable, five minutes long fit of laughter during Alex di Capri’s Gott ist Tot while sitting in the first row and desperately trying to calm myself down because the poor man is right there, two meters in front of me, trying to be all serious ‘n stuff, or getting to see Bot’s Krolock again after about a year long wait.
Which shows did you see and how often: Warsaw x2, Berlin x1, Vienna Revival x 7 and Budapest x lost count, but probably around 15.
Secret wish: Ethan Freeman playing Krolock and TdV coming to Baduszkowa’s Theatre in Gdynia

Other stuff you wanna say: SPONGE!!! ;______;
Name: Sofia
Age: 22
Location: Hausjärvi (Finland)
First exposure to Tanz: It was during upper secondary school, second or third year, I think. I couldn’t care less about it when mind-evolution tried to tell me how awesome it was. I became a fan only after I saw it live in Vienna, and even then I had to see it two times to really, madly fall in love with it.
Favourite cast recording: Nowadays I prefer audios (because of Drew, ahem), but I like Gesamtaufnahme with Marc Liebisch.
Favourite Krolock: Drew Sarich
Favourite major character: Graf von Krolock
Favourite minor character: The Black Vampire (but only if played by Nagy Csaba)
Other favourites among cast: The nobleman with illegaly gorgeous coat, long and curly dark hair and a hat (and sometimes a fan). In Finnish he’s called Delkku-vampyyri, because in Vienna the caracter was played by Fernand Delosch. Though I definitely prefer Feicht Zoltán’s way of acting.
Favourite song: Had to bounce between Die Unstillbare Gier, Finale Zweiter Akt and Carpe Noctem. I’ll say Finale, because it makes me feel immortal, if that makes any sense.
Favourite costume: The costume of the nobleman I described above. I’d do anything to have it. Just look at that masterpiece.
Favourite Tanzblr meme: I have to say I’m pretty fond of Krolock and public transportation.
Best memory: Erm. Getting a tattoo from Drew and his reaction to it, hugging Kiss Ernő Zsolt, seeing Thomas Borchert as Krolock for the first time, realizing that Feicht Zoltán was still in the Hungarian production and recognizing him from the zombie vampires during Carpe Noctem, special treatment in Budapest, every moment with mind-evolution during the trips, Marc Liebisch receiving our letter, my second last show in Vienna in every possible way, giving Csaba the photographs HE HAD ASKED of him and Tibor and his incredibly happy face as he saw them, “Szívesen”, finally having the courage to get photographed with some of the actors and dancers. I could go on forever.
Which shows did you see and how often: The Viennese Revival Production x23, Budapest x8, Berlin x3, Seinäjoki x3.
Secret wish: To be an actor or a dancer in this musical. Not gonna happen? Okay, uh.. meeting Kentaur and asking him to decorate my future house and making me some nice clothes. :D
Best actual dream: To perform Finale with Tanzblr in public place. Honestly.
Other stuff you wanna say: I never thought a musical could become such a huge part of my life. I’m grateful for everything it has brought to me, even the sad moments when a production has closed. It’s a privilege to know all the great people in this fandom, and I hope a huge Tanzblr meeting will be possible in the future!

Other stuff you wanna say: My Tumblr’s the inside of my head, with extra sparkles.

I JUST FEEL THIS BELONGS HERE, OKAY?
Name: Yana
Age: 23
Location: Saint Petersburg, Russia
First exposure to Tanz: The first time I saw a TdV poster in summer. Honestly, those early posters were creating an odd impression, Ivan reminded of some kind of Nosferatu, monster with no neck, Lena looked like a twelve-years girl… I watched Polanski’s movie a couple of years ago, and did not even know there was a musical based on it. So Russian production opened a whole new world for me.))
I`m not the most mentally healthy person on Earth, and I was in the middle of painful depression, when visited Tanz for the first time. I felt unbearable bad. And it may sound pretentious, but this show gave me emotions that I needed at that time and really helped to get over.
Favourite cast recording:Gesamtaufnahme with Borchert, Original Vienna Cast…
oh andI want so bad Russian cast to release its own official version!
Favourite Krolock: Drew Sarich. I like his voice. I like his eyes, his profile. How the count’s clothes sits on him, the way he moves, everything. <3 The second place take Ivan and Steve. And Kevin. And Jan. :D
Favourite major character: Graf von Crotchlock, of course
Favourite minor character: no surprises, Herbert. He is like cherry on the cake)
Other favourites among cast: Chagal, played by Jerzy Jeszke (he is adorable!), bitten Magda, black vampire, SPONGE xD
Favourite song: Draussen ist Freiheit, Carpe Noctem, Ewigkeit, Totale Finsternis
Favourite costume: all vampires are extremely stylish)
Favourite Tanzblr meme: EVERYTHING (ok, especially Wilwarien`s comments))
Best memory: later after the show I called my friend and yelled into the phone “SEI BEREIT!!” and she yelled me back “FUHL DIE NACHT!!!!” omg this is stupid I know))
Which shows did you see and how often: only Saint Petersburg`s production. This Sunday I’m going for the seventh time
Secret wish: I would like to try on the count`s suit.) And generally, to perform in Tanz would be awesome.
Best actual dream: visit TdV in Berlin!
Other stuff you wanna say: i`m so glad I`ve found Tanzblr, when someone shares your interests, it`s priceless)
Name: Can’t tell…
Age: Twenty-something
Location: Somewhere in Poland
First exposure to Tanz: I’ve read on a Polish musical fan forum that they’re making a production in Warsaw, and decided to learn more about it…
Favourite cast recording: The original Vienna Cast, the Polish Cast and the Budapest Cast.
Favourite Krolock: I don’t have a specific actor that I like, so I’ll name a few: Steve Barton, Kevin Tarte, Łukasz Dziedzic, Egyházi Géza, Bot Gábor, Drew Sarich.
Favourite major character: Alfred!! Also, much like everyone else I like Krolock, Sarah and the Professor.
Favourite minor character: Herbert. I also really like Chagal and Koukol - but it all depends which actor’s are playing them.
Other favourites among cast: I really love all three Hungarian Alfreds (that is Tibor, Gyuri and Adam), because each of them are really talented and their performances are unique and enjoyable. I also really like the Hungarian Sarahs, because they have really beautiful voices. When it comes to Herberts, Jenei Gábor is currently my top fav Herbert - I’ve seen him in January 2011 and in August, and he was fabulous.
Other, non-Hunagrian favorites of mine are (there isn’t any specific order of those names): Robert D. Marx, Malwina Kusior, Gernot Kranner, James Sbano, Marcin Wortmann, Sebastian Smulders, Gernot Romic to name a few.
Favourite song: “Für Sarah”, “Carpe Noctem” and the Finale of the second act.
Favourite costume: All the costumes of the Hunagrian production (Kentaur rulez!!). Also some of the costumes from the Polish production like the undead zombie-vampire-king (the one with huge golden crown) and the white lady with a ship on her head.
Favourite Tanzblr meme: … wat?
Best memory: My first trip to see “Tanz…” in Warsaw - it was the first musical production I’ve seen live, and I was excited as hell. Also both trips to Budapest were the best things that happened to me recently.
Which shows did you see and how often: Warsaw (November and December 2005) and Budapest (two shows on January 15th and the entire August run, which, I think, consisted of 4,5 shows).
Secret wish: it’s not really a secret wish, but I’d like to catch Kevin Tarte at the SD… hopefully I’ll be able to do that. Also, I’d love to go to Russia and Finland to see those two productions: I’m really curious about them.
Best actual dream: I had this dream of a huge international production taking place in Warsaw which incorporated people from different foreign productions of the show.
Other stuff you wanna say: “Beware of the big, green dragon that sits on your doorstep.”
